My Demonic Ghost - Vanity's Lair

Inside Vanity's lair ~

One of the Seven Deadly Sins, Vanity, spends most of her time living in a cave of ice and mirrors where she indulges in soaking up her reflection. She does not like to be bothered and lacks proper social skills, preferring her time alone where she can bask in her image for decades on end.

This is absolutely beautiful, a huge thank you to himaru-of-neptune for his amazing and very unique artwork of the demon Vanity. Please check out his gallery if you have a moment to spare, it truly is amazing.

Jean Book Nerd

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

To celebrate, I had the honour of being featured on Jean's blog site called: Jean Book Nerd.
Jean is an amazingly sweet woman who dedicates her time and energy in finding great reads for her adoring followers. I was very lucky to have a feature with her, where not only did Jean set up a series of very unusual but exciting interview questions for me to answer, but there's also a giveaway for 5 ebook copies AND a very, very nice review of the Book ~ My Demonic Ghost Banished Spirits.

Click here to purchase from Amazon as My Demonic Ghost Reapers is coming out in 2013.

Check it out here:   JEAN BOOK NERD

SAMPLE INTERVIEW:

In your new book, The Demonic Ghost; can you tell my Book Nerd community a little about the novel?

Gladly, My Demonic Ghost is a story about two young people thrown into a world of demons, spirits and monsters. One, a young girl by the name of Rachael and the other is a 14 year old banished spirit boy who calls himself Lock. Through the book we explore the world through the eyes of a demon spirit as he tries to seek refuge from being trapped in Hell. These are desperate spirits tainted with evil, but as Rachael figures out during their adventure, these bad spirits are not what they appear to be.

Not all demons are bad and not all angels are good. The afterlife is not what Rachael or anyone was expecting it to be. Taking on the notorious Seven Deadly Sins, this book is not for the easily scared as we climb into the lives of the dammed.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating Rachel?

Rachael’s bravery is what surprised me most. She is only 15 years old when Lock takes her soul for himself but even though she is chained to a demon she doesn’t hide under the covers in fear. If anything, she twists the tables on the snarky demon boy so he ends up treating her as an equal and not a battery source. Rachael is inspiring with her ability to see past the surface and understand the spirits and demons that surround her. She starts to love them despite everything that has happened to her, and in return these demons start to love her back.

SAMPLE REVIEW:

Author Jacinta has taken demonic possessions into a whole new level. This darkly captivating story will have readers on the edge of their seats. The imagery presented within the pages is creatively vivid as readers find themselves in the midst of this amazing world beside Rachael and Lock. The political outline of the order of the realms with the Royals that consists of diverse levels of spirits and the Hunters is truly astonishing. Readers will appreciate how Jacinta incorporated this unique idea into her remarkable story. The characters are not watered down as Jacinta’s writing style allows them to shine with complexity and practicality even with demons and spirits. Although the story is complex, the details set forth by Jacinta provided clear details with rich history that readers will thoroughly enjoys its fascinating story. My Demonic Ghost is one of those books that truly do not offer anything recycled. Consisting of vibrant characters and a rock-solid plot, it will not disappoint.

200 LIKES! WE DID IT!

OH MY GOSH! WE MADE IT TO 200 LIKES!!!

This is a HUGE accomplishment, considering at the start of the week I was sitting on a lonely 46 likes. Thank you to Jessica Johnson and Lisa Markson and just everyone for helping me reach this milestone.
As promised, there will be two winners who get a free copy of My Demonic Ghost on ebook.

And, from the star of the show, Lock would like to thank you too!!

*Lock's eyes shimmer among the darkness for a moment, the air around you starts to feel colder under your clothes and the lights above your head dim within his appearance. He dares not show more than just a hint of snake eyes breaking against the dark*

Hmm.... looks delicious. More Hosts the better. I don't know if you are brave or just ignorant, but now that I have you I won't let you go so easily.

*Lock curls his lower lip into his mouth and bites his smile, a flash of white teeth just a fleeting sight as he disappears back into the depths of shadows*

Well... at least he made an appearance. ♥ ♥ ♥

FROM THE BLOG:

Konstanz: How long did it take you to write your first novel?

Jacinta: This book in particular, My Demonic Ghost- Banished Spirits took me 6 years to write. In my defence that was lazy writing. I would spend more time rereading and editing than actually writing. It wasn't till I went to night classes for writers that I finally pushed myself into writing the ending.

· Konstanz: Is the first novel you ever completed published?

Jacinta: My Demonic Ghost is the first novel I’ve taken seriously enough to go through professional editing. It is my first novel to be published and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. This has been such a fantastic learning curve for me, not only am I strengthening my own voice but I get to surround myself with new and fresh authors from around the globe.

· Konstanz: What time of day do you get your best writing done?

Jacinta: Mostly in the mornings, by the afternoons I am too exhausted to write and I just end up falling asleep on top of the keyboard. To me nothing is better than waking up with a warm hot tea and sitting in my pyjamas knowing I can escape into my books without distractions.

Rise of the Guardians

I just watched Rise of the Guardians and I loved EVERY second of it.
I think the thing that impressed me most of their originality when dealing with the traditional Holiday Spirits.
There was Santa Claus or St. Nick North where he had tattoos of Naughty and Nice on either arm, he was a tough, big guy that was very jolly and as well as strong and quick to kick butt. I found the elves and yetis surprisingly the funniest characters there. The humour was very playful and caught me off guard. I didn't expect it to be so.... well... funny. Sorry for lack of description.

There was the Easter Bunny, or as they called them E.Aster Bunnymund in the novel where he took on a more Australian approach with thick Australian Accent (voice actor Hugh Jackman) and carried with him boomerangs as weapons.

He had lots of funny moments when bantering with our main character Jack Frost, obviously Bunny was still sour from when Frost caused a blizzard on Easter Sunday and covered all of the Easter eggs under thick snow.

There was the tooth fairy, who looks more like a forest nymph than a human which I quite liked. She had an army of tiny fairy followers that would collect the teeth around the world for exchange of money. The reason why they collected teeth is to harbour the child's memory. I thought that was a nice idea, as I never understood why the tooth fairy would care to collect teeth.

There was the Sandman as well, he played a very powerful part and was surprisingly one of the strongest characters there. The Sandman gave the children dreams by using golden sand.

And lastly we have Jack Frost... ah, sweet young Jack Frost.
There was just something about him that pulled at my heart strings. Poor Jack Frost has spent the last 300 + years creating blizzards and snow days, hoping to impress the children and make them believe in him. During most of the movie none of the children believed in Jack Frost leaving him invisible and ignored. He would continue on his days riding the wind and causing mischief.

Jack Frost also reminds me a lot of the character Lock from My Demonic Ghost, in his desperation to belong and have someone need and acknowledge him. I kept waiting for Frost's white hair to darken to black, his eyes to switch to acid green and for him to start terrorising Hosts.

The character Pitch Black or commonly known as the Bogeyman had an understandable motive, one that Frost related to. He wanted to be believed in again. His master plan was to change the children's dreams into nightmares, interfering with the holidays spirits jobs so children will slowly stop believing and their powers will deplete.

All in all, I LOVED this movie. 5/5 Stars and I want to watch it again and again.
There is also a book out, one which is the original called Guardians of Childhood (i think) and the other which from the movie. I'll be very interested in reading it to get more back story.

Chaos the Hunter....

 Hunters-  Angels of Justice.

Red hair, olive skin and angelic faces, Chaos is a tainted Hunter meaning that he does not have a full Hunters Title. To degrade and humiliate him, the other Hunters have given Chaos a Banished Spirit's name.
Chaos is 15 years old and has mixed coloured eyes.  He looks stunning, innocent and approachable, the next door neighbour boy who you’ll pour your love into material things in hopes he’ll finally acknowledges you.

A huge thank you to the lovely Erina, I love this picture of Chaos and the way that the leaves seem to cross over the image is so poetic and graceful. Erina is brilliant and a fantastic artist. If you have a moment you should head over to Erina's page and just look at all of her AMAZING artworks.

Inside the Mind of Lock- Bookend 2 Bookend

Lock: "My story is not a nice story. Nothing about Demons and Banished is pleasant. But if you can handle it, why not listen to the demon for once? It may just surprise you what we have to say.”

I had been holding my breath for this very moment,
the moment when my new friend and adopter Jessica Johnson from Bookend 2 Bookend tells me exactly and honesty how she feels about My Demonic Ghost. I admire and respect her opinion a lot and I am overwhelmed with joy by her constant support and encouragement to be braver and stronger as a writer. There is also a charcter Interview with the infamous ghost boy Lock as Jess creeps into his mind and asks all the questions readers have been dying to find out. Check out the link below to see what she has to say.....

There are also two ebook copies of MY DEMONIC GHOST for free when you enter the rafflecopter on Bookend 2 Bookend blogsite.

SAMPLE:

BookEnd 2 BookEnd: Is it difficult having to live life attached to a host?

Lock: “It’s difficult for the Host, but that’s not my problem or my concern. If they obey and do as I say life will be easier for them. If they don’t… well, that’s not even an option. You see these?”

*A spark of silver glint flickers up as chains made of smoke appear surrounding the demonic spirit. Lock’s cradles them in his grip and dangles them playfully.*

“I can control my host; make them do things that I want. Says things I want them to say, guess you can argue that I’m their master. It is easy! It is fun!”

BookEnd 2 BookEnd: Do you think it's difficult for Rachael to be a host?
Lock: *His brows furrowed a little closer together, the mention of Rachael enough to make him feel on edge.*

“I… guess it’s difficult for her… She doesn’t complain like the other Hosts. But I can see it; I can see the change in her and I know it’s because of me. She looks sick sometimes and she gets more and more pale every day she spends with me. I don’t want her to suffer…. But … I also don’t want to leave. Why should I have to leave? I’m not doing anything wrong!”

*A little frustrated Lock lets out a heavy sigh, touches his toes back to the ground and shoves his hands inside his pockets. He keeps his head turned, lips tightened and his eyes darted to the left*

“I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”

I have the beautiful inside and out Jessica Johnson from Bookend 2 Bookend. She has adopted me as her author for the week, which has pushed my facebook page up to 150 likes, expanded my fan page, exposed me to many of her wonderful friends and has sold some of my books. I am so glad that I got this opportunity to work with someone like Jessica, I have learnt so much:

Goodreads Activist and Paranormal lover Ellen:

Sample: If your book was made into a TV series or Movie, what actors would you like to see playing your characters? I never really imagined them as movie characters, so it’s hard for me to pick a face in Hollywood and say - yes that’s him/her. These characters were built from the ground up. I would much rather do what Harry Potter did and find people that best suit these characters so they can become faces of their own, not so much ‘hey- it’s so-so playing as the Character Lock’. I want them to be real and fresh.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

What do writers do? We write. There’s your answer right there, the key is to keep writing and to make sure you’re writing for the right reasons. If you write solely to please other people you are going to have a very difficult time, because truth is you can’t please everyone. I write the stories I want to read but couldn’t find. These are for me and that should be good enough.

Mechanical Breath- The Twins

Twin brothers Eli and Aiden(in the red hoodie).

Eli the Cyborg.

Eli has his right eye upgraded for an artifical eye, his right arm and right leg are all replaced with metal. Eli is serious, quiet and fascinated with all things strange and foreign. So when a girl from planet earth lands on their planet, Eli grows an unhealthy obsession with the 'alien'.

Aiden the Cyborg.

Aiden is less pleased with the idea of an alien as a new addition to their family. Unlike his identical brother, Aiden is more of a social butterfly and enjoys rebelling against authority with his long term girlfriend Eelena. Aiden is slightly older than Eli and enjoys physical activities where he can test out his new body upgrades. His torso, ears, both arms and legs are replaced with metal.

Thank you so much to the wonderful and talented Creepy9 for this mindblowing artwork on the Twins Aiden and Eli. Please check out Creepy9's gallery if you have a moment to spare, it truly is amazing!!!

White Feathers Creator

As innocent as children, as gentle as birds, as wild as animals and as power as primal instinct... that is what the Creators are made of.

Creators are pure, raw spiritual energy able to destroy Reapers, Banished, Hunters and Royals with a simple wave of their hand. Only thing is, Creators lack ambition so they do not fight for power, wealth, luxury or status, they are peace keepers as long as nothing threatens them. When threaten, Creators do not understand right from wrong so they will attack men, women and children with out hesitation. They are driven through emotions only and lack empathy.

I would love to thank the ever so talented Las-T for this amazing piece of the Creator spirit. I really like the soft colours weaved into the design, it's has a mystical and wild sense with a touch of elegance and innocence.
As many of you know I am experimenting on the final appearance of Creators, so there are different versions of them scattered about. If you have a moment, I strongly recommend you check out Las-t's Gallery!!!

Paranormal Addicts: Interview and Give Away

Paranormal Addicts

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to the wonderful Toni from Paranormal Addicts,
today is my special day where I have an interview and give away up on Paranormal Addicts blogsite-

Here is just some of the questions I had to answer, to see full post please click the link.

Envision trading places with one of your characters in your books, who would it be and why?
If I had to trade places with one of my characters, I would pick a Reaper. Hosts have a terrifying job just trying to manage the demonic ghosts attached to them, i.e. the banished. Banished Spirits are continuously in danger, I don’t think I could handle the stress and the Hunters are deluded and hated by all demon spirits. Plus Reapers are accompanied by Goons, which are giant demonic pets who are both loyal and extremely powerful. They get to remain on the human surface but are not affected by aging, sickness or death. Downside is of course you lose your identity and you are not allowed to come into contact with the living. Did I forget to mention the giant demon pet? J

What influenced you to get published?
To get published has been a long life dream of mine, it was the wish I always wished for when blowing out my birthday candles every year. The only reason why I wanted to get published was to prove I was worthy of something. I’m not the best at sports or singing or art, so I thought I might be special at writing at least. I had set it to be my life’s goal to get published so I was so amazed how quickly to happened once I actually set my mind to it.

PRIZES TO WIN!

Three book marks, one sign hard copy of My Demonic Ghost, one pen with My Demonic Ghost printed on the barrel, one poster of front cover signed!

IRL SHOOTER: Patient 0

IRL SHOOTER: Patient 0

Last Saturday night the 1st of December myself and five other friends travelled out to Broadmeadows to try out the IRL Shooter.
What is IRL Shooter? Well, in my experience it is a live action zombie shooter game where you and your team must run through a maze shooting zombies, completing objectives and collecting vials.
It. Was. Insane.
I had so much fun, I was nominated to be the Communicator which means I have to communicate through a walkie talkie to my squad what the organisers were instructing. You have no idea how difficult it is to listen to a static voice from a walkie talkie when you have screaming zombies running at you from every angle.
The zombies are hired actors and they WILL run at you and scream. If they get within 3 meters your health meter starts going down. It's like laser tag, where you wear vests that have senses on them and the actors must have senses on them too so they know when they have been shot.
Again, being Communicator meant I got yelled out a lot when I didn't understand the message and it also meant I had to keep putting the 3 kg gun down to talk into the walkie talkie. My arms were killing me by the end of the hour long session.
The women there were the scariest. They would yell, swear and insult you verbally. All in good fun of course, but I was too scared to ask questions in case I got a tongue lashing.
But it was so much fun, it was something I have never done before in my life and it was scary. I'll admit, I screamed A LOT. There were parts of the mission where you have to run down a corridor and you have a swarm of zombies running after you, did I mention it was really dark too so all you can hear are the zombie's screaming. We had a video camera strapped to our helmets that filmed the entire experience but my helmet was too big so it kept going lopsided causing all my footage to be on an angle. The whole experience was meant to make you feel like an zombie apocalypse has occurred and it was up to you to take down the evil doctor that caused the mutation.
The actual building was a warehouse where they had set up key activated doors to get through each room. The decoration was disturbing. There were dead bodies everywhere, and I'm talking about bodies where they had been half eaten, tortured, limbs pulled off and stabbed with needles and other weapons and blood smear scattered all over the walls, doors and windows. I had to describe the scene to 'headquarters' and a lot of the times I was just squealing because zombies kept jumping out at me. By the end of the whole thing I was sweating through my clothes.

Would I do it again? Within a heartbeat.

NaNoWriMo- WINNER

WINNER: Mechancial Breath

Words: 50090
Pages: 106

With a failing heart and a broken family, Chloe feels like she is fighting a losing battle. Medical bills her father can not pay and a heart condition that ties her to a hospital bed pushes Chloe over the edge. Unable to withstand another moment, Chloe runs far from her beaten home and gets caught in an electrical storm that strikes her down and drags her into darkness.
When she finally awakes its at the hands of a mysterious stranger. A boy with machines for body parts and a robotic voice. Within a dying, polluted world, Chloe finds her self a medical miracle to those of a different dimension, of a human race far superior to her own; trying to survive on a dead planet.
Replacing human organs for mechanical counterparts, at what stage does a human stop being a human and becomes a machine?

Mechanical Breath - Jakob the Cyborg

This is my NaNoWriMo project called Mechanical Breath.

Jakob the Cyborg.

A teenage boy living on the planet of Promelues, an alter dimension to earth where the planet is dead and technology has advanced beyond our understanding. To survive on their decaying home, the human race have to exchange their human organs for mechanical counterparts.

Jakob has his right eye upgraded for an artifical eye, his right arm and right leg are all replaced with metal. Jakob is serious, quiet and fascinated with all things strange and foreign. So when a girl from planet earth lands on their planet, Jakob grows an unhealthy obsession with the 'alien'.

Sneak Peak:
“Yeah, she’s unique and we think that is why the Council are out to get her.”

“Why would they want her though?” Hyde crouched down next to him as Jakob stopped clawing through the pieces to consider his answer.

“Because she’s perfect.” He couldn’t help but shake his head in laughter. “She’s the perfect human being; her body is unscratched by pollution unlike ours. She has her original organs and voice and eyes. Except for her heart, but even so her heart wasn’t damage like ours is damaged. She can very well be the cure to our Magnate crisis.”

“I thought you said you found her on in the pits. How is it possible that her body survived in perfect condition for so long? Even hiding a city beneath the surface can’t protect us from the disease and death from above.” Hyde slumped into the wall, running his hands along his mouth. “Do you really think that she’s the answer? But then why would the Council want to kill her?”

“It’s our guess they’ll want to dissect her. I can’t let them… they won’t see a human being they’ll just see a test subject.”

Thank you so much to the wonderful and talented Genki-de for her amazing work on Jakob. Please check out her gallery if you have a moment to spare, it truly is breath taking.

TAM'S TWO CENTS

A very big thank you to the lovely and wonderful Tammy Middleton from Tam's Two Cents.
She has been an amazing friend not only to myself but to everyone under the branch of Staccato Publishing. For the month of November the authors with Staccato have been given a spotlight month, including interviews, give aways, guests blogs and an amazing chance to win some of Staccato's finest books.
It is now my turn ~ for my spotlight we have an interview and Tammy wrote a review for me based on My Demonic Ghost.

TAM'S TWO CENTS:

*From Blog*

Maree has taken the concept of demon possession to a new level with My Demonic Ghost. Dark and captivating as we follow the story of 15 year old Rachael Hastings (the host) and Lock (her demon).
When Rachael travels to Whitehaven to visit her ailing father who dies soon after she unwittingly becomes her father's demons new host. Lock links himself to her with a kiss, wrapping her in chains and tying her soul to him. As a banished spirit he must feed off a human host to remain in our realm. In a welcomed twist, the pair become more dependent on each other as their feelings for each other grow stronger, all the while their journey takes them to the depths of hell to face the 7 deadly sins.
Maree's imagery is vivid and creative and you are transformed into this world alongside Rachael and Lock. I loved the hierarchy of the realms with the Royals, different levels of spirits and the Hunters. The character's had depth and realism to them even if most of them were demons or spirits. I also liked that the storyline was complex and detailed, giving us history on the different spirits and insight into their current names. Linking the 7 deadly sins into the story was pure genius right down to the differing eye color of the spirits that linked beautifully with their unique names and backgrounds.
In a race against time Rachael and Lock along with several other spirits and their hosts attempt to defeat the sins, therefore gaining access to the third realm where Lock's soul can be safe from the Hunter's and he can find peace. In the end as the Hunter's close in, what will Lock sacrafice for Rachael?
I was hooked from the first page and I anxiously await the sequel, Maree leaves us with an unexpected twist at the end, I must know what the future will hold for Lock and Rachael!
4/5 stars, definitely recommend this book, but that's just my two cents!

Self confessed chocaholic, Jacinta was born and raised in Melbourne Australia with her loving family of five. Even as a child Jacinta had an itch to write. Writing was the one constant hobby she clung to, also trying her hand at piano, flute, tennis, horseback riding and drama.

Jacinta works full time in the family business and spends her afternoons either playing basketball, reading, writing or hanging out with friends. She is always happy to try something new; getting her real estate license, practicing ninjitshu, Zumba and parkour to name a few.

For her future, Jacinta sees herself writing. It is a large part of her identity and something she hopes to continue. Aside from her love of stories she loves Japan and its unique and beautiful culture and history. From their delicious sushi dishes right down to their wooden sandals and kimonos. She is also a huge cat person and loves to snuggle up in front of the fire for a good movie or book. Her favorite genres are paranormal and fantasy but she also loves anything written by thriller writer, Stephen King.

I had to have a few minutes inside the mind of this creative author; here is my interview with Jacinta Maree author of My Demonic Ghost...........
INTERVIEW:
*Tell us a bit about yourself.

Currently I am sitting in a hotel room in Queensland, finally letting my ghoulish white skin see sunlight so I am pretty happy at the moment. I am Australian and a middle child in a family of five. I have an awesome party trick which lets me touch my tongue to my nose, also helpful when there is food on my face and my hands are full. I LOVE anything and everything oriental. I have a strange obsession with collecting tea sets and teapots as well as unique chopsticks. I've also turned myself into an art collector, too bad I've run out of wall spaces to hang the pieces. I am a cat person and I love playing video games. I am not afraid of spiders or snakes but i am terrified of bees and wasps. I have been bungee jumping in New Zealand, recently returned from Japan back in July and my next travel destination is Malaysia in January and Kansas City in May.

*Where were you born and where do you call home?
I was born and raised in Melbourne Australia. Regardless of where I go or where I end up, that will always be my home. I lived in my current house for my whole life.

*What was your inspiration for My Demonic Ghost?
A few things triggered My Demonic Ghost, mostly I was getting a bit tired of the same story line where Angels = good and demons = bad. I wanted to write from the perspective of a so called 'monster', and I wanted to challenge the readers into cheering on the bad guys. It wasn't as simple switching the roles around so Demons are human loving, they have both good and bad qualities in them just like the 'angels' or hunters. I've tried to make them human I guess. It was Descartes the philosopher who made me start questioning the likely hood of a 'demon god' and a afterlife full of corruption with his teachings of the consciousness.

*For those who are unfamiliar with your novel, how would you introduce it?
Casper the not so friendly and misunderstand ghost with some bad ass Deadly Sins thrown in. It's a world where, like it or not, you are dragged into a losing battle between the Banished Spirits (demonic ghosts) and the Hunters (angelic spirits). With no choice but to go along with the demonic ghost's demands, you start to unravel the awful truth about the afterlife. It's an upside down road that makes you want the demons to win.

*What are the Pro's and Con's to being a published Author?
Pros are most definitely the amazing people you get to meet. Every single person who I've met since I started up with Staccato have been so kind to me and extremely friendly. I honestly don't have any cons, sure it can be scary to have your hard work thrown out there into the big scary world of publishing but in return you get to learn and develop more as a writer and really come to understand what other amazing works and authors are out there. If anything, it's motivating to become better.
*What was the first thing you did when you got the news My Demonic Ghost was being published?
I was so shocked when I found out the first thing I did was chase down my father. I was at work, looking over my emails when I got the wonderful news and he was just about to walk out the door. I could barely catch my breath once I caught up to him and then I just started to cry. It was a good couple of minutes before I could talk properly. After that I was very secretive about it, it was one of those moments when I was scared I was going to wake up and everything was going to just be a dream. It wasn't till the front cover came through that it finally kicked in that this was seriously happening.
*Whom in your life would you say has influenced you the most?
Obviously my parents are a huge influence, they are kind, hard working, ambitious and have taught me to reach for my dreams. Writing was just something I did on my own, I would tell only my parents about my books and had to almost hold them down to listen to every single one of my silly stories. I wrote so many of them it wasn't funny. They taught me to believe in myself.
*What has been the most interesting comment (or review) about your book?

I always find it so interesting when I read over people's reviews because everyone is different. Some people would tell me how scary the creature Mother was, others would comment about the love between Rachael and Lock. At one point I had to laugh when a young girl sent me a comment saying she wished to harbor a banished spirit one day. I hadn't really thought about what it would be like if I (not Rachael) had a ghost attached to me. I didn't know what I would do. And not just a ghost either, but a Banished one with the spiritual ability to summon magic and mind control. I admit, I'll be too scared to do anything.

*Who is YOUR favorite Author?

Brent Weeks and Stephen King, hands down. Though now that I am meeting more and more new authors I feel like my list to growing everyday.

*What are you reading right now?

Right now I am reading The Reaping by Leighton M, which I am absolutely loving at the moment.

*What research did you do while writing this story?

During the time I was writing My Demonic Ghost, I was learning about Descartes Inferno and studying up on other afterlife myths. A large chunk of the book is created from my own imagination, giving ghosts and spirits new faces, new duties and classifications. I wanted to step back and just ask the big question, is the afterlife really like anything we've been taught through personal religions? Studying Philosophy really helped open my eyes to the infinite possibilities about the afterlife. Maybe things aren't just black and white but also have a cloudy grey area.

*Tell us your latest news.

Sticking to the topic of writing, I've just completed My Demonic Ghost - The Reapers which is Book Two. I plan on releasing three books in the Demonic Ghost series, but the more and more I dive into their world the more I learn about the characters, their struggles and their inner ambitions. A part of me fears that there may even be a book four if I don't plan it properly. Aside from paranormal romance I want to branch out and write different genres, I want to try out sci-fi, high fantasy, dystopian and many others. In my little planner book that I carry with me everywhere there are so many difference ideas and plots it's now just a matter of picking which one to start.
